Heather Lynn Bass ApprehendedApril 12, 2009 KY NEWS -- Kentucky Blonde, Heather Lynn Bass has been apprehended. The 22-year-old woman was wanted for multiple drug related charges by the Butler County Sheriff's Department and the Kentucky State Police (KSP). Heather Lynn Bass In February of 1948, a new statewide law enforcement agency was formed with full powers of arrest that went beyond the limits of any city or county jurisdiction. The new agency was called the Kentucky State Police. In the seventies, the Kentucky State Police created a drug enforcement unit to combat illegal drug activity within the state. The Kentucky State Police Drug Enforcement Special Investigations unit was divided into two branches in order to cover the eastern and western geographical areas of the state. Moreover, this specialized unit of the KSP is responsible for detecting, investigating, apprehending individuals who violate laws pertaining to illicit drugs and who attempt to divert legitimate drugs for illegal use. Bass was a fugitive in West Drug Enforcement Branch jurisdiction, which is under the command of Captain Deron Berthold. Finally, even though Heather Lynn Bass has been apprehended, she is still considered innocent of her alleged charges until proven guilty in a court of law. Published by da: |
