Furthermore, Sunil Markam has a reward of up to 100,000 Indian Rupees offered by the Government of Madhya Pradesh for information leading to his successful arrest. Sunil Markam alias Vijay is believed to be originally from Nalgora, West Bengal. He is also a member of the Naxalites with the rank of Adilabad Tada Dalam Commander active in Rajnandgaon District, Chhatisgarh and Balaghat District of Madhya Pradesh. So, since the night when Markam and his coconspirators dragged Likhiram Kawre from his home and viciously beheaded, or almost beheaded the Transport Minister, has moved up in the ranks of the People's War Group / Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist).
