A reward of up to $10,000 is offered for Sherry Halligan by the FBI. Halligan is most wanted for the murder of Dennis Campbell during a domestic dispute after a lovely dinner on January, 31, 2003. According to prosecutors, Dennis Campbell and Sherry Halligan had been in a relationship that ended in 2001. In late 2002, Campbell was living in Jacksonville, Florida when Halligan again contacted him through the Internet, and they both agreed to meet for dinner on January, 31, 2003. Following the dinner, a fight occurred at her home. Halligan struck Campbell, the two struggled, and eventually Halligan killed Campbell by shooting him five times. It is believed Halligan then attempted to turn the gun on herself, but instead fled LaGrange south on Interstate 55, eventually tossing the gun from the window of her car. Sherry Halligan Halligan was released on bond after being charged with his murder in Cook County, Illinois. On October 5, 2005, a federal arrest warrant was issued in the United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois, after Halligan was charged with unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. Sherry Halligan should be considered armed and dangerous. Over one year later, Halligan failed to appear for a scheduled court appearance in Cook County Circuit Court in April of 2004, and her abandoned vehicle was discovered at Chicago's Midway airport.
