Most Wanted News: Columbus, Ohio Violent Pimp Gets 33 Months in the CanMorris Hill, who has been described as a violent pimp, was convicted of transporting women for purposes of prostitution.January 19, 2007 COLUMBUS OH NEWS -- On January 18, 2008, Morris Hill, age 30, who has been described as a violent pimp was sentenced in federal court in Pittsburgh to 33 months imprisonment, to be followed by five years of supervised probation. Hill, a resident of Columbus, Ohio, was convicted of transporting women for purposes of prostitution. United States District Judge Terrence F. McVerry imposing the sentence on Hill, commented that Hill's long history of exploiting women was "repugnant." According to information presented to the court by Assistant United States Attorney Stephen R. Kaufman, Hill transported one woman from West Virginia to Pittsburgh, and persuaded another to travel to Pittsburgh from Colorado, to engage in prostitution. Hill admitted that he used coercion against the women. Mr. Kaufman told the Court that Hill threatened and physically assaulted both women while he operated a prostitution business at two South Hills area hotels in April, 2007. United States Attorney Mary Beth Buchanan for the Western District of Pennsylvania commended that the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Allegheny County District Attorney's Violent Crime Task Force, and the City of Pittsburgh Police for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Morris Hill.
