Wild Wild West Takeover Bank Robbery

Wanted by the FBI for Bank Robbery

June 26, 2008

ALBUQUERQUE NM NEWS -- In a wild wild west takeover style robbery, two armed men robbed the Bank of the Southwest, at 605 North Waters St., Las Cruces, New Mexico. With faces covered by bandanas, both men burst into the bank armed with semi-automatic weapons. The first robber held one teller at gunpoint while the second subject leapt onto the counter and demanded a second teller fill a black athletic bag with cash. No shots were fired before the robbers fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed sum of cash. There were no customers inside the bank at the time of the robbery and neither of the tellers were hurt.

Law enforcement has recovered the bandits clothing. The Bank robbers are described as Hispanic thugs.

Up to $1,000 in reward money is available for any information that directly leads to the arrest of the individual(s) responsible. Anyone with information is asked to call the Albuquerque FBI at (505) 889-1300. Outside of Albuquerque, New Mexico, call your local law enforcement agency.
