Polite Gunman Robs Chase Bank in Houston, Texas

Wanted by the FBI for Bank Robbery

HOUSTON TX NEWS -- On Monday, December 17, 2007, in Houston, Texas, the Chase Bank was robbed by a lone gunman. The Houston FBI Bank Robbery Task Force needs your assistance in identifying and located this bank robber. Chase Bank surveillance cameras captured photos of the getaway vehicle as well as the gunman who also failed to disguise himself during the bank robbery. In addition, Crime Stoppers of Houston is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of this bank robber.

Around 12:47 p.m., a black male suspect entered the Chase Bank located at 600 McGowen in Houston, Texas. The suspect politely waited in a teller line until the only customer in the bank completed his transaction and left. Once the customer was outside the bank, the suspect approached the teller and pulled out a large silver semi-automatic handgun placed it on the counter pointing at the teller. Next, the gunman handed the teller a brown paper bag with a demand for money written on the outside. In fear for her life, the teller complied with the gunman's written demand filling the brown paper bag with money. The gunman anxiously told the teller to hurry, grabbed the bag and quickly walked out of the bank. He was last seen driving off in a black four-door sedan.

The gunman is described as:

  • Age: 30s or early 40s
  • Height: 5'9" to 6'0"
  • Build: Medium
  • Eyes: Brown
  • Hair: Black
  • Complexion: Dark
  • Sex: Male
  • Race: Black

Furthermore, the gunman was clean shaven and dressed fly, wearing a grey L.A. Dodgers baseball cap, grey T-shirt and black nylon wind pants.
