Unsolved Crime News: Salem, Oregon Two Thugs Takeover Bank in Salem, OregonWanted for Bank Robbery
June 28, 2008 SALEM OR NEWS -- Wells Fargo is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of two thugs who robbed a Wells Fargo Bank branch in Salem, Oregon on May 30, 2008. According to the FBI, there were ten Wells Fargo employees, one contract employee and four customers in the bank at the time of the robbery. The two thugs walked into the bank, drew handguns, and ordered everyone to the ground. As Thug #1 jumped over the teller counter, Thug #2 assaulted an employee by dragging her from her desk, striking her in the stomach and knocking her to the ground. The employee was transported to Salem Memorial hospital for medical attention. Thug #2, also pushed an elderly woman to the ground, but she did not medical attention. Witnesses say Thug #1 repeatedly threatened to shoot people who did not respond quickly enough, and both thugs pointed their guns directly at people in the bank. After ripping-off an undisclosed sum of cash, the thugs escaped in a 1986 Chevrolet Blazer. FBI Agents are continuing to investigate whether the bank robbery may be connected to other robberies in the region, but so far have made no connections. Thug #1 is described as:

The Blazer, was discovered the following day by a Salem patrol officer in a nearby Fred Meyer parking lot. Investigators believe the thugs purchased the vehicle in Portland two days earlier using fake documentation. Therefore, law enforcement is hoping that neighborhood citizens who may have seen the Blazer in the days prior to the robbery will drop the dime on these thugs. Once again, Wells Fargo is offering up to $25,000 reward for these thugs.
