$5,000 Reward For GangstaWanted by the FBI for DRUG CONSPIRACYOctober 13, 2007 CHICAGO IL NEWS -- The FBI is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading directly to the arrest of Juan Carlos Duran. An arrest warrant was issued on December 16, 2001, by the United States District Court, Northern District of Illinois, Eastern Division, after Duran was charged federally with conspiring with others to possess and distribute PCP, and aiding and abetting (Drug Conspiracy). Juan Carlos Duran is considered armed and dangerous as well as an escape risk.
Between February 2001 and January 2003, the FBI, along with other law enforcement agencies, conducted "Operation Blue Water" an extensive investigation targeting the Ambrose Street Gang in Chicago. The results of "Operation Blue Water," brought about 51 indictments for the alleged manufacture and distribution of PCP and other controlled substances. Of the 51 indictments, Juan Carlos Duran and Dionne Garcia are the sole remaining fugitives still at large from the investigation.
