Larry was charged in a three-count indictment returned by a federal grand jury in Kansas City on February 4, 2008, for the armed robbery of Bank of America, using a firearm in the commission of that crime of violence, and with being a felon in possession of firearms. Dangerous It is believed that on June 27, 2007, at approximately 8:05 a.m., Marlon Larry attempted to bull rush a bank manager entering the Bank of America on State Line Road, north of West 108th Street in Kansas City, Missouri. The Bank Manager deflected Larry's charge and attempted to enter the bank, but failed to block Larry's second attack. It is believed that on June 27, 2007, at approximately 8:05 a.m., Marlon Larry attempted to bull rush a bank manager entering the Bank of America on State Line Road, north of West 108th Street in Kansas City, Missouri. The Bank Manager deflected Larry's charge and attempted to enter the bank, but failed to block Larry's second attack. Larry then allegedly pulled a 9mm Taurus handgun and struck the bank manager in the head with the gun. Larry then ushered the Bank Manager into the bank, ordering everyone to get on the floor. It is alleged he told two tellers to open the cash vault. Their attempts failed and Larry demanded the money from the teller's drawers. The money, $38,938, was placed in a black plastic garbage bag that Larry had brought for the robbery. After allegedly retrieving the money, Larry had three bank employees crawl to an office and stay on the floor. Before leaving the bank, Larry asked for and received car keys from a bank employee. Larry's last words were, "Don't call the police for five minutes or I'll come back tomorrow and kill you all." He then left the bank. A short time later, police found the bank employee's vehicle abandoned near Symington Elementary School. Officials at the school placed approximately 300 students in locked down in fear that the fugitive bank robber might attempt to take hostages. Eventually, the search led Police to two homes near Ditman Avenue and Ruskin Way where they discovered evidence connected to the robbery.
