Tegucigalpa, Honduras $100,000 for Alleged Child Murderer Alexis FloresWanted by the FBI for kidnaping and murder
August 23, 2008 TEGUCIGALPA HONDURAS NEWS -- A Honduras national, Alexis Flores is most wanted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for his alleged involvement in the kidnaping and murder of five-year-old Iriana DeJesus in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The FBI has offered a $100,000 reward for information leading to Alexis Flores arrest. On July 29, 2000, Iriana DeJesus was reportedly last seen with a Hispanic male who told people he was from Honduras and was seeking work and a place to stay. On August 3, 2000, Iriana DeJesus's body was found murdered in a north Philadelphia apartment building were Alexis Flores was believed to be staying. Additionally, Flores purportedly disappeared from the area at the same time the girl was reported missing. In early 2007, a DNA match was made between Alexis Flores and DNA evidence taken at the Philadelphia crime scene. Unfortunately, Flores was deported to Honduras in 2005, after giving the DNA sample while jailed in Phoenix, Arizona for forgery. Philadelphia authorities issued an arrest warrant on March 22, 2007, charging Alexis Flores with the murder and various other felonies related to the case.
