Florida - United States Most Wanted Florida Junkie with a GunWanted by the Florida DOC Absconders Unit for Probation Violation
September 20, 2008 FORT LAUDERDALE FL NEWS -- There is nothing more dangerous than a junkie with a gun. Belinda Orange is most wanted in Broward County, Florida. Likely transient, Orange was last known to be living in the vicinity of NW 16th Street in Pompano Beach. She should be considered armed and dangerous. Belinda Orange was busted on August 18, 2006, with having a concealed firearm and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Apparently, Orange suffers from a drug addiction, so she was placed on Drug Offender Probation on March, 8, 2007. In fact, Orange did so well on Florida's Jenny Crank probation program that on appeal, the Judge reduced her sentence by two years. Therefore, Belinda Denise Orange was scheduled for Drug Offender Probation termination on July 2, 2010. For those readers unfamiliar with Florida's Drug Offender Probation, or better known as the Jenny Crank probation program, it is an intensive form of Court imposed supervision for drug offenders. Drug Offender Probation emphasizes treatment for drug addiction and random drug testing. Monitoring of the professed drug abusers is also maintained through field supervision. Furthermore, special conditions may be imposed by the court if viewed necessary due to the offender's substance abuse history, which may include inpatient or outpatient substance abuse treatment, increased frequency of drug testing, and even curfews. All of which evidently failed in regards to the case of Belinda Denise Orange, who eventually absconded and had a warrant issued for her arrest on January 31, 2008.
