August 8, 2008 ARLINGTON TX NEWS -- Eva Maria Malczewski, a citizen of Poland, was originally arrested on September 19, 1997 in Texas. The arrest was made based on a complaint that she had embezzled a large sum of money from a bank in Arlington, Texas, where she was employed as a teller. During the investigation of the crime, law enforcement learned that Malczewski had previously worked as a teller in another bank in Grand Prairie, Texas, which also eventually accused Malczewski of embezzlement. Malczewski was indicted on sixteen counts of bank embezzlement on October 15, 1997. Then on February 13, 1998, two more counts of bank embezzlement were added regarding funds stolen from the bank in Grand Prairie. On May 28, 1998. Malczewski was found guilty, and scheduled to be sentenced on November 30, 1998, but failed to appear in court. A warrant was then issued in the Northern District of Texas, Fort Worth, Texas, for her arrest. Malczewski has been a most wanted hunted offender eluding surrender (Hoes) since that time.
