Most Wanted Child Sex Trafficker - El GalloWanted by the FBI for Sex Trafficking ChildrenMarch 15, 2009 HOUSTON TX NEWS -- The alleged leader of a human trafficking ring, Gerardo Salazar is most wanted for the sex trafficking of children and young women. On July 26, 2005, in the 339th District Court, Houston, Texas, a state arrest warrant was issued for Gerardo Salazar for the sexual assault of a child. Then, on November 9, 2005, Salazar was charged federally with sex trafficking of children, and a federal arrest warrant was issued by in the United States District Court of Texas. Fugitive El Gallo The alleged leader of a group of men, which provided women and young girls for prostitution in Mexico and Houston, Texas. Salazar, is better known as the child sex trafficker, "El Gallo." Early in 2004, until July 2005, Salazar and other members of his human trafficking ring are believed to have recruited and enticed young Mexican females, including two children, into engaging in prostitution. Salazar and his associates would romance the girls convincing them to come to the United States as their girlfriends. Once they reached the United States, Salazar and his traffickers forced the victims into prostitution through beatings, threats, deception, and other forms of coercion, which in some cases included rape. Five of Gerardo Salazar's co-conspirators have plead guilty and are presently serving jail time. Unfortunately, El Gallo is still a fugitive at-large and considered armed and dangerous.
