In a girl on girl fight, Billie Hewerdine, her daughter Carlie Winkless, and a friend, Leona Carr, received stab wounds resulting from a confrontation with four other women. Four women have been arrested in connection with an assault in Belvoir Street, Leicester which left the three women injured.
Around midnight on Friday, August 29, 2008, Billie Hewerdine, her daughter Carlie Winkless with a friend, Leona Carr, were out on the town celebrating Carlie Winkless 20th birthday, when one of the girls accidently bumped into another woman. The incident grew into an argument that ended with the three women injured, two stabbed with a 7" kitchen knife. Both the Hewerdine and her daughter were stabbed with a 7" kitchen knife, requiring immediate medical attention. One of the girls was rushed to the Leicester Royal Infirmary and the other to Glenfield Hospital, both had deep wounds to their abdomen.
